To be successful you often need to fly in the face of conventional wisdom and defy logic. Doing what everyone else does and following the logical steps will just keep you within the crowd, so how will you excel if you’re just doing what everyone else is doing?
Go against the realities that others accept, don’t always take reasonable actions and recognize that most rules are out of date and requires someone to challenge them in order to break them. Do you think we ended up with cars, planes, space travel, telephones, the internet etc. etc. because people stuck with what they knew and just did what everyone else did?
Breaking the mould is what leads to exceptional performance so go for it and make a difference in the world!
